We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them. We are change-makers who believe in Nelson Mandela’s quote “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. Home for Education is a registered Non-Governmental Organization with its headquarters in Mmuock Leteh, Lebialem Division, Cameroon. This organization was formed in 2019 during the Anglophone crisis in Cameroon. Education is the fundamental right of a child, and every child has the right to education. During this period, we saw the need for disadvantaged children, youth, and women to be educated and empowered with skills through capacity development programs. More than 3000 children have benefited from our programs and over 4000 youth have gained knowledge on protection, peace, and civic engagement. Over 500 women have gained skills and some of them are now owners of their small scale businesses. We have launched and executed projects on capacity development, funding, and donation of didactic materials to pupils and youth in Cameroon.
We now run an online platform where we teach disadvantaged children and students in the comfort of their homes through the phones of their parents and guardians. We also have our helpline offices spread throughout the country so one can approach us anytime they need help.
Our mission is to make sure all children, youth, and women are educated, empowered, and protected.
Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.
Our entire team wants to see a world where every young struggling child, youth and women are educated to improve their livelihood. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
